Materials science underlies every engineering design decision by describing how materials deform and fail under load. This simulator plots the stress-strain curve for selectable materials — steel, aluminum, rubber, concrete — and lets you load them past yield into the plastic region until fracture. Key mechanical properties such as Young's modulus, yield strength, and ultimate tensile strength are measured directly from the curve.
