Immunology Simulation: Immune Response to Pathogens
This immunology simulation models how the human immune system recognizes and eliminates pathogens through both innate (rapid, non-specific) and adaptive (slower, antigen-specific) responses. Students observe phagocytes engulfing bacteria, antigen-presenting cells activating T lymphocytes, B cells differentiating into plasma cells to produce antibodies, and memory cells forming for faster future responses. It makes the cellular and molecular choreography of immunity visible and understandable for students in biology, anatomy, and health science courses.
