Electric fields

Electric fields describe the force a test charge would experience. Field direction and strength follow from the source charges and their geometry.

Moving charges and currents produce magnetic fields. Those fields in turn exert forces on moving charges, wires, and magnets.

A changing magnetic flux induces an electromotive force. This principle links generators, transformers, motors, and electromagnetic waves.
